Assessing the Risks of Non-Compliance

Steven Van Beek – Attorney, Howard & Howard

Unfortunately, there is not a universal answer to either question. While some laws and regulations have specific civil money penalties, many do not, and the risks of non-compliance are not black and white. For example, what are the risks of an incorrect or non-delivered change-in-terms notice? What about a missing or incorrect fee from a loan disclosure? This session will include examples of how to walk through the process of assessing risks and determining options for corrections and mitigation.
